Mavericks vs Nets Picks and Prediction – 3/24/2025

The Barclays Center will play host to a Monday night NBA clash between the Dallas Mavericks and the Brooklyn Nets. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Mavericks (34-37) have been decimated by injuries and are currently tied with Phoenix for tenth place in the Western Conference standings. On Friday, Dallas snapped a four-game losing streak with a 123-117 home victory versus Detroit. 

All five Dallas starters scored in double figures and were led by Spencer Dinwiddie with 31 points (11-13 FT). F P.J. Washington committed a season-high nine turnovers and finished with 27 points on 9-for-16 shooting. Klay Thompson added 20 points and five rebounds for the Mavericks, who improved to 20-16 at home. 

The Brooklyn Nets have dropped 22 of their first 33 home games and are one the verge of being eliminated from postseason contention. The Nets (23-48) rank near the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency and are scoring a measly 105.4 points per game. On Saturday, Brooklyn shot just 43 percent from the field during a 108-103 road loss against Indiana. 

Trendon Watford matched a game-high with 26 points (9-14 FG) and five rebounds in 30 minutes off the Brooklyn bench. Cameron Johnson scored 20 points to go along with nine rebounds and five assists. Keon Johnson added 17 points and four boards for the Nets, who converted just ten of 17 free-throw attempts. 

Dallas F Anthony Davis (thigh) is listed as doubtful and Brooklyn G D’Angelo Russell (ankle) is considered questionable for this game. The Nets play at the slowest tempo in the league, so the under is my lean on the total. Brooklyn has continued to play hard for rookie head coach Jordy Fernandez and will win at home.
