Mavericks vs Celtics Picks and Prediction – 6/18/2024

The fifth-seeded Mavericks have won seven of their first 11 road games this postseason and rank fifth in defensive efficiency. In Game Four, Dallas raced out to a 13-point lead after one quarter and shot 51 percent from the field during a dominant 122-84 home victory. 

All-Star G Luka Doncic tallied a game-high 29 points on 12-for-26 shooting and dished out five assists. Backcourt mate Kyrie Irving contributed 21 points (10-18 FG) and six assists. Tim Hardaway Jr. knocked down 5-for-7 from long range and finished with 15 points for the Mavericks. 

The Boston Celtics won a league best 37 home games during the regular season and are in search of their first NBA title since 2008. The top-seeded Celtics rank second this postseason in offensive efficiency and have won eight of their first ten home games. On Friday, Boston was limited to 35 points in the first half and shot an ice cold 36 percent from the field. 

All-Star F Jayson Tatum led five Boston players in double figures with 15 points (4-10 FG) and five rebounds. The rest of the starting lineup managed just 29 points on a dismal 10-for-31 shooting effort. Sam Hauser nailed 4-for-6 from the three-point line and scored 14 points for the Celtics.
