Cavaliers vs Jazz Picks and Prediction – 3/23/2025

The Cavaliers (56-14) are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and trail Oklahoma City by two games for the best record in the NBA. On Friday, Cleveland fell behind by 11 points at halftime and had no answer for Kevin Durant (42 points) during a 123-112 road loss against Phoenix. 

All-Star G Darius Garland tallied a team-high 18 points (8-16 FG), six assists, and five rebounds. De’Andre Hunter scored 17 points (6-8 FG) in 22 minutes off the bench. All-Star G Donovan Mitchell missed 16 of 18 field goal attempts and finished with just seven points for the Cavaliers, who shot 45 percent from the field. 

The Utah Jazz have dropped nine of their previous ten games and own the worst record in the Western Conference. The Jazz (16-55) rank last in the league in defensive efficiency and are surrendering 119.8 points per contest. On Friday, Utah trailed by 14 points after one quarter and turned the ball over 17 times during a 121-99 home loss against Boston. 

Utah G Collin Sexton led all scorers with 30 points on a 12-for-16 shooting performance. Keyonte George added 19 points (7-19 FG) and seven assists off the bench. Walker Kessler grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out six assists for the Jazz, who fell to a dismal 9-27 at home. 

Utah F Lauri Markkanen (personal) was ruled out of Friday’s loss and his status for this contest is uncertain. The Cavaliers still own a five-game lead over the Celtics for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Look for Cleveland to score at will during a road victory that soars over the total.
