Cavaliers vs Magic Picks and Prediction – 4/25/2024

The Thursday NBA schedule will tip off with a battle between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic from the Kia Center. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The fourth-seeded Cavaliers held serve in the first two games of this best-of-seven series at home and rank sixth in the league in defensive efficiency. On Monday, Cleveland raced out to a 12-point lead after one quarter and led by as many as 22 points during a 96-86 home victory.

All-Star G Donovan Mitchell led all scorers with 23 points on 9-for-22 shooting and pulled down eight boards. Evan Mobley chipped in 17 points (5-13 FG) and seven rebounds. Jarrett Allen dominated the interior with 16 points and 20 rebounds. 

The Orlando Magic have failed to score more than 86 points during the first two games of this series and their guards have been thoroughly outplayed. During Monday’s road loss, Orlando missed 26 of their 35 three-point attempts and shot an ice cold 36 percent overall. The fifth-seeded Magic were outrebounded by a 48-41 margin and never led during the game. 

All-Star F Paolo Banchero tallied a team-high 21 points (9-20 FG) and committed six turnovers. Orlando F Franz Wagner missed 12 of 17 field goal attempts and finished with 18 points. Moritz Wagner added 12 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes off the Magic bench.
