Cavaliers vs Heat Picks and Prediction – 4/28/2025

In the first game of a Monday night NBA on TNT playoff doubleheader, the Cleveland Cavaliers will look to complete a sweep of the Miami Heat at the Kaseya Center. The top-seeded Cavaliers (3-0) led the league in offensive efficiency during the regular season and have scored at least 120 points in the first three games of this series. In Game Three, Cleveland raced out to a 13-point advantage after one quarter and shot 54 percent from the field during a 124-87 road triumph. 

C Jarrett Allen led a balanced Cleveland scoring attack with 22 points (8-9 FG) and ten rebounds. De’Andre Hunter scored 21 points and finished with a team-high plus 34 rating in 28 minutes off the bench. All-Star F Evan Mobley added 19 points and six rebounds for the Cavaliers. 

The Miami Heat are a proud franchise led by head coach Erik Spoelstra and will have to address a lot of questions about their future. The eighth-seeded Heat (0-3) were forced to trade disgruntled G/F Jimmy Butler to Golden State and have to improve an offense that ranked 21st in the league in efficiency. During Saturday’s home loss, Miami was dominated on the glass by a 46-29 margin and committed 16 turnovers. 

Miami F/C Bam Adebayo matched a game-high with 22 points on 9-for-20 shooting and secured nine boards. Davion Mitchell added 16 points (7-11 FG), five assists, and four rebounds. Tyler Herro missed eight of 13 field goal attempts and finished with a subpar 13 points for the Heat. 

Cleveland G Darius Garland (toe) was a non-contact participant in Sunday’s practice and his status for this game is uncertain. Miami has not been swept in their last eight playoff series, but that was with Jimmy Butler. Look for the Cavaliers to advance to the conference semifinals with a road victory that goes over the total. Final Score Prediction, Cleveland Cavaliers win 113-105.
