Nets vs Bucks Picks and Prediction – 1/3/2025

The Nets (12-21) have dropped 12 of their first 19 road games and are in the midst of a long rebuilding effort. This will be the second of a back-to-back on the road for Brooklyn, who was outscored by 14 points during the fourth quarter of last night’s 130-113 loss against Toronto. 

Cameron Johnson led six Brooklyn players in double figures with 24 points on 7-for-12 shooting. Newly acquired G D’Angelo Russell scored 22 points and dished out eight assists in 26 minutes off the bench. Nic Claxton added 16 points and ten rebounds for the Nets, who missed 26 of 37 three-point attempts. 

The Milwaukee Bucks have won 11 of their first 16 home games and are tied with Atlanta for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Bucks (17-14) rank 11th in the league in offensive efficiency and are averaging 112.7 points per game. On Tuesday, Milwaukee erased an 11-point halftime deficit to earn a 120-112 road victory against Indiana. 

Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied a game-high 30 points (11-20 FG), 12 rebounds and five assists. Veteran C Brook Lopez scored 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting in 24 minutes of action. Bobby Portis and Gary Trent Jr. added 14 points apiece off the bench for the Bucks. 

Brooklyn G Cam Thomas did not play last night due to left hamstring injury management and is listed as day-to-day. The Bucks are not an elite defensive team and that makes them difficult to trust as a huge favorite. Take the points. Final Score Prediction, Milwaukee Bucks win 113-105.
