Nets vs Pacers Picks and Prediction – 3/22/2025

The Saturday NBA schedule will tip-off with a rematch between the Brooklyn Nets and the Indiana Pacers from Gainbridge Fieldhouse. For other NBA action see our NBA Predictions. The Nets (27-43) have dropped eight of their previous ten games and have fallen out of playoff contention for rookie head coach Jordy Fernandez. On Thursday, Brooklyn was unable to protect a ten-point halftime advantage during a 105-99 overtime loss at Indiana. 

D’Angelo Russell and Ziaire Williams led four Brooklyn players in double figures with 22 points apiece on a combined 15-for-37 shooting. Trendon Watford added 15 points (6-11 FG) and five rebounds for the Nets, who missed 34 of 50 three-point attempts. 

The Indiana Pacers have won 22 of their first 31 home games and hold a one-game lead over Milwaukee for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pacers (40-29) rank ninth in the league in offensive efficiency and are averaging 116.7 points per contest. During Thursday’s home victory, Indiana outrebounded Brooklyn by a 57-47 margin. 

Indiana G Bennedict Mathurin tallied a game-high 28 points on 10-for-17 shooting and secured 16 rebounds. Myles Turner contributed 23 points (8-11 FG), ten rebounds, and five blocks. Aaron Nesmith added 14 points and six boards for the Pacers, who converted 27 of 31 free-throw attempts. 

Brooklyn G Cam Thomas has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and will miss the remainder of the season. The Pacers are a middle of the pack defensive team and that makes them hard to back as near double digit favorites. Look for Indiana to win the rematch in a game that goes over the total.
