Celtics vs Knicks Picks and Prediction – 5/10/2025

The World’s Most Famous Arena will be rocking on Saturday afternoon, when the Boston Celtics square off against the New York Knicks in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. In Game Two, Boston was unable to protect a 20-point second half lead during a 91-90 home loss. 

Derrick White and Jaylen Brown led Boston with 20 points each on a combined 14-for-40 shooting effort. All-Star F Jayson Tatum scored 13 points on an inefficient 5-for-19 from the field and grabbed 13 rebounds. Jrue Holiday added ten points and five assists for the Celtics. 

The New York Knicks finished 13 games above .500 at home during the regular season and are looking to make their first conference finals appearance since 2000. The third-seeded Knicks (2-0) rank third in defensive efficiency in the postseason and are allowing 104.4 points per contest. On Wednesday, New York outscored Boston 30-17 in the fourth quarter and held them to 36 percent shooting. 

New York F Josh Hart tallied a game-high 23 points on 10-for-15 shooting and pulled down six boards. All-Star C Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 21 points (9-16 FG) and 17 rebounds. Mikal Bridges scored all 14 of his points in the fourth quarter and stole the ball on the final possession for the Knicks. 

Boston C Kristaps Porzingis (illness) scored eight points in 14 minutes off the bench and is listed as day-to-day. The Celtics have missed 75 of 100 three-point attempts in the first two games and Jaylen Brown appears to be hobbled by a nagging knee issue.
