Celtics vs Hawks Picks and Prediction – 3/28/2024

The Celtics (57-15) have won 25 of their first 37 road games and are on the verge of wrapping up homecourt advantage throughout the postseason. On Monday, Boston surrendered a 30-point lead and missed 27 of 38 three-point attempts during a stunning 120-118 road loss against Atlanta. 

All-Star F Jayson Tatum tallied a game-high 37 points on 13-for-26 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. All-Star G Jaylen Brown scored 24 points on 10-for-22 from the floor. Payton Pritchard added 15 points, six assists and five rebounds off the bench for the Celtics. 

The Atlanta Hawks have won three straight games and trail Chicago by one full game for ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Hawks (33-39) rank tenth in the league in offensive efficiency and are averaging a shade below 120 points per contest. Last night, Atlanta forced 17 turnovers and never trailed during the second half of a 120-106 home victory versus Portland. 

Dejounte Murray led six Atlanta players in double figures with 30 points (13-20 FG) and seven assists. Garrison Mathews connected on 5-for-9 from long distance and finished with 21 points off the bench. Clint Capela added 13 points and ten rebounds for the Hawks.
