SP George Kirby (0-2) was tagged for six runs in five innings and took the loss for the Mariners, who fell to 30-24 overall. 

The Mariners will turn to twenty-five year old righty Emerson Hancock (2-2 5.95 ERA) on Thursday. Last time out, Hancock (6 IP) scattered nine hits and gave up three runs during a 5-3 road victory against Houston. 

Washington OF Dylan Crews (back) is currently on the 10-day injured list and is eligible to return on Saturday. Through 55 games, Washington ranks 18th in OPS and 15th in runs scored.
