The Detroit Tigers are two games below .500 at home and 10.5 games off the pace in the AL Central Division race. On Sunday, Detroit erupted for eight runs in the fifth inning and snapped a three-game losing streak with a 10-2 home victory versus Milwaukee. SP Tarik Skubal (8-1) fanned ten batters across six plus solid frames to earn the win for the Tigers, who improved to 32-33 overall.

Detroit manager A.J. Hinch will give the nod to thirty-six year old righty Kenta Maeda (2-2 6.25 ERA) on Tuesday. Control has been an issue for Maeda, who has walked 12 batters and served up ten long balls through 40 plus frames.
