Rangers vs Blue Jays Picks and Prediction – 7/27/2024

The Saturday MLB schedule will get underway with a matinee between the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays from the Rogers Centre. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Rangers (51-53) have won seven of their last ten games and are three games back in the AL West Division race. Last night, Texas OF Adolis Garcia homered and drove in three runs during a 6-5 road loss against Toronto. 

Thirty-two year old righty Michael Lorenzen (5-5 3.53 ERA) will take the mound for the Rangers in this matchup. Last time out, Lorenzen (5 IP) allowed two runs and struck out eight batters during a 4-3 home victory versus Chicago. 

The Toronto Blue Jays are trapped in the AL East Division basement and will be forced into selling at the MLB Trade Deadline. On Friday, Toronto walked it off on a Ernie Clement single that scored pinch-runner Steward Berroa with the winning run. OF George Springer had a pair of hits and scored twice for the Blue Jays (47-56), who improved to 24-28 at home. 

The Blue Jays will counter with hard-throwing righty Kevin Gausman (8-8 4.55 ERA) on Saturday. Through 110 plus innings, Gausman has fanned 109 batters and owns a respectable 1.30 WHIP.
