Rays vs Tigers Picks and Prediction – 7/9/2025

The Detroit Tigers are riding a five-game winning streak and have comfortably distanced themselves from the rest of the AL Central Division field. During Tuesday’s home victory, Detroit DH Colt Keith broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning with a two-run blast. SP Jack Flaherty fanned eight batters across six plus frames and did not factor in the decision for the Tigers (59-34), who improved to 32-14 at home. 

The Tigers will counter with twenty-five year old righty Reese Olson (4-3 2.89 ERA) in the series finale. Through 53 innings of work, Olson has surrendered just three home runs and owns a respectable 1.25 WHIP.

Detroit OF Kerry Carpenter (hamstring) is currently on the 10-day injured list and will miss this series. Through 92 games, Tampa Bay ranks 11th in OPS and 7th in runs scored.
