During yesterday’s home loss, Washington’s only offense came on a Dylan Crews eighth-inning two-run shot. SP Trevor Williams (2-4) gave up four runs in six innings and took the loss for the Nationals (17-23), who fell to 10-11 at home. 

Washington manager Dave Martinez will give the nod to talented left-hander MacKenzie Gore (2-3 3.33 ERA) on Sunday. Through 46 innings, Gore has struck out an impressive 68 batters while posting a solid 1.15 WHIP.

Washington 3B Paul DeJong is expected to be sidelined until July while recovering from surgery to repair his nose and sinuses. Through 40 games, St. Louis ranks 8th in OPS and 10th in runs scored.
