Cincinnati skipper Terry Francona will give the nod to talented right-hander Brady Singer (4-0 3.62 ERA) on Tuesday. In his last start, Singer (6 IP) allowed two runs and struck out eight batters during a 5-2 road victory against Miami. 

Cincinnati 1B Christian Encarnacion-Strand (back) has begun doing rotational exercises and remains without a timetable to return. Through 29 games, St. Louis ranks 8th in OPS and 10th in runs scored.
