On Sunday, SP Nick Lodolo (3-2) fired seven shutout frames and struck out nine batters to lead Cincinnati to an 8-1 road triumph against lowly Colorado. OF Austin Hays went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Reds (15-13), who improved to 9-7 on the road.  

Cincinnati skipper Terry Francona will turn to veteran right-hander Nick Martinez (0-3 5.40 ERA) on Monday. The Reds have dropped Martinez’s first five starts and he has struck out 23 batters in 26 plus innings. 

Cincinnati 1B Christian Encarnacion-Strand (back) has begun doing rotational exercises and remains without a timetable to return. Through 28 games, St. Louis ranks 6th in OPS and 9th in runs scored.
