Cardinals vs Braves Picks and Prediction – 4/23/2025

The Atlanta Braves have won seven of their first ten home games and are stuck in the NL East Division basement. During Tuesday’s home loss, Atlanta 1B Matt Olson (4) and C Sean Murphy (6) each hit a solo shot. 3B Austin Riley collected three hits and drove in a run for the Braves (9-14), who went 2-for-10 with runners in scoring position. 

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker will turn to right-hander Bryce Elder (0-1 7.20 ERA) in the series finale. In his last start, Elder (5 IP) allowed six hits and four runs during a 6-4 home victory versus Minnesota. 

Atlanta OF Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) is progressing towards a rehab assignment and is expected to make his season debut next month. Through 24 games, St. Louis ranks 5th in OPS and 7th in runs scored.
