Rookie Julio Rodriguez has been outstanding for the Mariners this season and is batting .279 with 26 Home Runs, and 72 RBI's. Not to be outdone, Eugenio Suarez has hit 31 home runs and drove in 84 runs but has struggled with a .236 batting average. The Mariners are batting a paltry .229 as a team and will need to improve upon those numbers as they head towards the postseason. 

With a 61-82 record, this season has been one to forget for the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels play host to the Seattle Mariners and are hoping to spoil the Mariners postseason aspirations. Shoei Ohtani (12-8, 2.55 ERA) takes the mound for the Angels and is creeping towards 200 strikeouts on the season.

In addition to pitching, Ohtani has hit .265 this season with 34 home runs and 88 rbis. Impressively, Ohtani has done much of his damage without Mike Trout who has hit .280 with 35 home runs in only 102 games. Similarly to the Mariners, the Angels have struggled this year from the plate hitting .228 on the year.
