Giants vs Nationals Picks and Prediction – 5/25/2025

During yesterday’s home victory, emerging star OF James Wood put Washington on the scoreboard in the opening frame with a two-run blast. SP Jake Irvin (4-1) lasted eight inning and struck out seven batters to earn the win for the Nationals (24-28), who improved to 13-13 at home. 

Washington skipper Dave Martinez will give the nod to right-hander Michael Soroka (1-2 5.95 ERA) on Sunday. In his last start, Soroka (5.2 IP) gave up seven hits and three runs during a 10-4 road triumph against Baltimore. 

Washington OF Dylan Crews is currently on the 10-day injured list with a lower back injury. Through 52 games, San Francisco ranks 20th in OPS and 9th in runs scored. For the season, Washington ranks 18th in OPS and 14th in runs scored. Take the under. San Francisco Giants win 5-2.
