SP David Daniel (0-1) gave up five runs in five innings and took the loss for the Braves, who fell to 44-56 overall. 

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker will give the nod to hard-throwing righty Spencer Strider (4-7 3.59 ERA) on Wednesday. In his last start, Strider fired six shutout frames and struck out eight batters during a 7-3 home victory versus the New York Yankees.
