Athletics vs Blue Jays Prediction

A four-game series will conclude on Sunday afternoon, when the Athletics face the Toronto Blue Jays from the Rogers Centre. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Athletics (23-36) are looking to snap a five-game losing streak and are struck in the AL West Division cellar. On Saturday, DH Brent Rooker went 3-for-4 with a home run and scored twice during a disappointing 8-7 road loss.

Twenty-nine year old southpaw J.P. Sears (4-5 5.18 ERA) will take the mound for the Athletics in this matchup. The Athletics have dropped Sears’ previous three starts and he has surrendered 21 runs over his last 12 plus innings.

The Toronto Blue Jays are riding a four-game winning streak and trail AL East Division leading New York by six games. During yesterday’s home victory, OF George Springer homered twice and scored three times to power the Toronto offense. Easton Lucas (3-2) provided four plus innings of scoreless relief to earn the win for the Blue Jays (30-28), who improved to 19-12 at home.

Toronto skipper John Schneider will give the nod to talented right-hander Kevin Gausman (5-4 3.68 ERA) in the series finale. Last time out, Gausman lasted eight innings and allowed one run during a 2-1 road victory against Texas.
