The Pittsburgh Pirates (43-47) have been competitive thus far, but may be more focused on the future with the great young talent they have. Bryan Reynolds has been the star of this team, and is putting together a great season at the plate. The outfielder leads the team in home runs, with 16, and RBIs, with 54. Pitching for the Pirates is Martin Perez. Perez has not been good, with a 4.72 ERA.

Opposite them are the Milwaukee Brewers (53-38). The Brew Crew have enjoyed a fantastic year and are firmly in control of the division. Much of this year’s success is because of William Contreras. Contreras has an impressive .297 batting average and .360 on base percentage. Willy Adams has also been crushing with 13 homers and 58 RBIs. On the mound is Tobias Myers, who has been able to perform well enough, holding a solid 3.52 ERA. Milwaukee has to feel like they are one more piece away from a World Series.
