On Wednesday, OF Pete Crow-Armstrong homered as part of a three-hit day and drove in four runs to power Chicago to a 7-6 home victory versus Los Angeles. SS Dansby Swanson went 2-for-4 and scored twice for the Cubs (16-10), who improved to 8-5 at home. 

With the injuries to the Chicago pitching staff, thirty-four year old righty Colin Rea (1.32 ERA) has been thrust into the starting rotation. In his last start, Rea (4.2 IP) allowed one run and struck out five batters during a 13-11 home victory versus Arizona.  

Chicago SP Justin Steele underwent successful UCL surgery and will miss the remainder of the season. Through 25 games, Philadelphia ranks 10th in OPS and 11th in runs scored.
