Yankees vs Astros Picks and Prediction – 3/28/2024

The New York Yankees will start the 2024 season on the road in Houston looking to bounce back after a disappointing end to the 2023 season. New York lost three of their last four games in 2023 to finish with 80 losses and missed the playoffs completely. Aaron Judge will again be at the forefront of the New York offense this season after hitting a team high 37 home runs to go along with a team leading 75 RBIs. Giancarlo Stanton is also back on the roster and newcomers such as Juan Soto will add a ton of new punch for New York. With ace Gerrit Cole injured to start the new year New York will give the ball to Nester Cortes on Thursday. Cortes wen 5-2 with a 4.97 ERA in 2023.

The Houston Astros come into the 2024 season looking to build off their success from a year ago that saw their season end early in the postseason. Houston punched their ticket into the playoffs last year after winning the last four games of the season finishing with 90 wins overall and a division title.

Kyle Tucker came up big off season for Houston leading the team with a .284 batting average and drove in a team high 112 RBIs. Big man Yordan Alvarez led the team with 31 home runs and Jeremy Pena hit ten home runs. Alex Bregman drove in 98 runs in 161 games.
