C Riley Adams contributed a three-run blast for the Nationals, who improved to 13-15 overall. 

Washington manager Dave Martinez will give the nod to veteran right-hander Trevor Williams (1-2 5.11 ERA) in the series finale. In his last start, Williams (5 IP) allowed one run and fanned five batters during a 4-3 home victory versus Baltimore. 

New York SP Sean Manaea (oblique) has resumed playing catch and hopes to make his season debut around the beginning of June. Through 28 games, New York ranks 16th in OPS and 16th in runs scored.
