Last night, New York SP Luis Severino (2-2) gave up three runs in six innings during a 5-1 road loss against San Francisco.

Thirty-two year old lefty Sean Manaea (1-1 4.12 ERA) will head to the hill for the Mets in this contest. Last time out, Manaea (5 IP) allowed four hits and two runs during a 9-4 road victory against Los Angeles. 

The San Francisco Giants are two games above .500 at home and are just two games behind NL West Division leading Los Angeles. During Tuesday’s home victory, San Francisco OF Mike Yastrzemski had a pair of hits and drove in three runs. SP Logan Webb (3-1) limited the Mets to six hits across eight shutout frames to earn the win for the Giants, who improved to 12-13 overall.

The Giants will give the nod to two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell (0-3 11.57 ERA) on Wednesday. In his last start, Snell (4.2 IP) was tagged for nine hits and five runs during a 17-1 home loss versus Arizona.
