New York manager Aaron Boone will give the nod to right-hander Clarke Schmidt (1-1 4.73 ERA) on Saturday. Last time out, Schmidt (6 IP) gave up three runs and struck out six batters during an 11-5 road triumph against Seattle. 

New York OF Jose Siri (leg) has resumed baseball activities and hopes to return to the lineup early next month. Through 45 games, the Mets rank 5th in OPS and 10th in runs scored.
