Twins vs Dodgers Prediction

Chris Paddack takes the mound for Minnesota against Tyler Glasnow for the Dodgers in a Wednesday afternoon clash at Dodger Stadium. The Twins are 48-52 and dropped Game 1 of the series 5-2 after struggling to get anything going late. The Dodgers improved to 59-42 but have lost three of the last four after a rough series against Milwaukee. Elevate your MLB game with our top-notch MLB picks.

Minnesota’s been on a slide, losing four of its last five. The lone win came against a poor Rockies team, and even then, it didn’t say much. The Twins couldn’t handle Glasnow in the opener, with just two runs and only one after the third inning. The offense has been inconsistent, and without Pablo López, things on the mound get even shakier. Paddack has been tagged all season, sitting at 3-9 with a 5.14 ERA and allowing 16 home runs in 105 innings.

The Twins are hitting just .242 as a group, with 119 homers and a .312 on-base percentage. Byron Buxton leads the way with 23 home runs and a .292 average, but outside of him, it’s been a pretty thin lineup. The pitching staff has a 4.14 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP, but that’s without factoring in how badly the bullpen has looked lately. Minnesota is also missing Bailey Ober and Pablo López, putting extra stress on an already shaky staff.

The Dodgers responded nicely after getting swept by the Brewers, taking care of business in Game 1 behind Glasnow and a timely offense. They got a homer from Shohei Ohtani and continue to look sharp at home, where they’re 34-20 this season. Los Angeles has won three of its last five and still leads the NL West comfortably, and getting Glasnow back from the IL has given the rotation a boost.

Los Angeles is batting .254 with 154 home runs, a .328 OBP, and .445 slugging. Will Smith leads the team with a .326 average, while Ohtani’s 35 homers and 67 RBIs have carried the power numbers. The staff ERA sits at 4.28, and while the bullpen has had injury issues, Glasnow’s 3.10 ERA and 34 Ks in 29 innings look promising. The Dodgers have also limited opponents to a .246 batting average and lead the Twins in nearly every offensive category.

Twins vs Dodgers Pick Analysis

Paddack has been a liability on the road, and Glasnow's return gives Los Angeles a clear edge in the pitching matchup. The Dodgers have a better team average, significantly more power with 35 more home runs, and a deeper lineup top to bottom. The Twins' injuries are stacking up, and the Dodgers’ home dominance should be the difference again. Final Score Prediction: Dodgers win on the run line 6-3.
