Twins vs Reds Picks and Prediction – 6/19/2025

The Thursday MLB schedule will get underway with a matinee between the Minnesota Twins and the Cincinnati Reds from the Great American Ball Park. The Cincinnati Reds have won 9 of their last 11 games and trail NL Central Division leading Chicago by 6.5 games. During Wednesday’s home victory, 1B Spencer Steer went 2-for-3 with a two-run blast and scored twice to power the Cincinnati offense. SP Nick Lodolo (5-5) gave up two runs and lasted six innings to earn the win for the Reds (39-35), who improved to 20-16 at home. 

The Reds will counter with veteran right-hander Nick Martinez (4-7 3.92 ERA) in the series finale. In his last start, Martinez (5 IP) gave up four runs and struck out five batters during an 11-5 road loss against Detroit. 

Cincinnati SP Hunter Greene (groin/back) is headed to Goodyear (AZ) for rehab and treatment. Through 73 games, Minnesota ranks 19th in OPS and 20th in runs scored.
