The Miami Marlins (54-92) have been battling hard all season but are nowhere near a playoff spot. Leading the charge for the Marlins is Jesus Sanchez, who is batting a .246 average. On the mound, Miami will turn to Darren McCaughan, who has been shelled in his handful of starts this season.

On the other side, the Washington Nationals (65-80) may not be in playoff contention, but they continue to play the role of spoiler and would like a win over their divisional foe. Young star CJ Abrams has been a bright spot for Washington, showcasing his speed with 28 stolen bases while developing more power at the plate. Luis Garcia Jr. continues to be a reliable bat, leading the team with a .284 average and 63 RBIs. Mitchell Parker will get the start for the Nationals, bringing a 4.43 ERA to the mound. Parker has been a steady arm for the Nats, and he’ll need to be on top of his game to contain the Marlins’ offense.

Neither Miami or Washington are a team we want to back often. We view Miami as one of the worst teams in the MLB, and they have an extremely weak pitcher on the mound. It is not an easy pick but the choice is the Nats. Prediction: Washington wins this one 4-2.
