On Sunday, Los Angeles was limited to six hits and went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position during a 4-1 road loss against Cleveland. 

Thirty-four year old southpaw Tyler Anderson (2-3 2.23 ERA) will head to the hill for the Angels in this contest. In his last start, Anderson (6 IP) gave up three runs and struck out six batters during a 7-5 home loss versus Philadelphia. 

The Pittsburgh Pirates have won consecutive games and are 5.5 games off the pace in the NL Central Division race. On Sunday, SS ONeil Cruz hit a go-ahead two-run blast in the sixth inning to propel Pittsburgh to a 5-3 home victory versus Colorado. OF Bryan Reynolds added two hits and scored a run for the Pirates (16-19), who improved to 7-8 at home.

The Pirates will counter with twenty-eight year old righty Mitch Keller (2-3 5.18 ERA) in the series opener. Pittsburgh has dropped Keller’s previous three starts and he has surrendered 11 runs across his last 16 frames.
