On Sunday, New York SP Carlos Rodon (1-3) served up a pair of long balls to San Francisco OF Jung Hoo Lee during a 5-4 home loss. 2B Jazz Chisholm Jr. connected on his fifth home run of the year in a losing effort for the Yankees, who fell to 8-7 overall.

Thirty-eight year old righty Carlos Carrasco (1-1 7.71 ERA) is no longer a serviceable major league starter at this point in his career. Through 11 plus innings, Carrasco has been roughed up for 16 hits and four home runs. 

New York SP Clarke Schmidt (shoulder) will come off the 15-day injured list to make a start on Wednesday. Through 16 games, Kansas City ranked 23rd in OPS and 28th in runs scored.
