On Sunday, Tampa Bay batters were limited to three hits and retired by strikes ten times during a 5-1 road loss against Miami. SP Shane Baz (3-3) surrendered five runs in six innings and took the loss for the Rays, who fell to 21-25 on the year. 

Tampa Bay manager Kevin Cash will turn to twenty-seven year old righty Ryan Pepiot (2-5 3.93 ERA) on Monday. The Rays have dropped Pepiot’s previous three starts and he has given up six runs across his last 16 plus frames. 

Tampa Bay SP Shane McClanahan is still feeling discomfort in his left triceps and his timetable to return is uncertain. Through 46 games, Houston ranks 19th in OPS and 20th in runs scored.
