Tigers vs Rays Picks and Prediction – 6/22/2025

The Tampa Bay Rays have won seven of their last ten games and trail AL East Division leading New York by 1.5 games. During yesterday’s home victory, OF Christopher Morel crushed one of Tampa Bay’s three long balls and scored twice. SP Ryan Pepiot (5-6) allowed one run across five solid frames to pick up the win for the Rays (43-34), who improved to 27-22 at home. 

Tampa Bay manager Kevin Cash will turn to twenty-nine year old righty Zack Littell (6-7 3.88 ERA) on Sunday. The Rays have dropped Littell’s previous two starts and he has surrendered seven runs over his last 12 innings. 

Tampa Bay SP Shane McClanahan (triceps) should start throwing off a mound soon and plans to return in about a month. Through 78 games, Detroit ranks 6th in OPS and 5th in runs scored.
