During Tuesday’s home victory, Pittsburgh OF Bryan Reynolds went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and drove in a pair of runs. SP Mitch Keller (4-10) allowed three runs in six innings to earn the win for the Pirates, who moved their record to 41-61 on the year. 

Pittsburgh interim skipper Don Kelly will turn to left-hander Bailey Falter (6-5 4.00 ERA) on Wednesday. The Pirates are winless in Falter’s three previous starts and he has given up 11 runs (10 ER) over his last 14 plus innings. 

Detroit OF Kerry Carpenter (hamstring) has resumed hitting drills and is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment this week. Through 102 games, Detroit ranks 7th in OPS and 6th in runs scored.
