During Friday’s series opening loss, Minnesota DH Mickey Gasper grounded out to end the game with the tying run on third base. 1B Ty France went 3-for-4 and drove in a plated a pair of runs for the Twins (4-10), who fell to 1-3 at home.   

The Twins will counter with twenty-nine year old righty Chris Paddack (0-1 14.73 ERA) on Saturday. Through seven plus innings, Paddack has been knocked around for 13 hits and three long balls while striking out just four batters. 

Minnesota SP Pablo Lopez exited from Tuesday’s start with hamstring tightness and his status for his next start is uncertain. Through 13 games, Detroit ranked 3rd in OPS and 9th in runs scored.
