Rockies vs Royals Picks and Prediction – 4/24/2025

In the first game of a traditional Thursday MLB doubleheader, the Colorado Rockies and the Kansas City Royals will square off from Kauffman Stadium. On Tuesday, Kansas City walked it off in the 11th inning on a Freddy Fermin single that scored Mark Canha with the winning run. SP Kris Bubic struck out six batters across seven shutout frames and did not factor in the decision for the Royals (10-14). 

The Royals will counter with twenty-seven year old southpaw Cole Ragans (1-1 3.58 ERA) on Thursday. Last time out, Ragans (4 IP) was tagged for five runs and fanned eight batters during a 7-3 road loss against Detroit. 

Colorado OF Kris Bryant is still receiving treatment on his back and hopes to return to the lineup early next month. Through 23 games, Colorado ranks 27th in OPS and 29th in runs scored.
