Reds vs Rangers Picks and Prediction – 4/27/2024

In Saturday afternoon MLB action, the Cincinnati Reds and the Texas Rangers will continue their interleague series from Globe Life Field. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The Reds (14-12) have split their first ten road games and are three games off the pace in the NL Central Division race. Last night, Cincinnati was limited to three hits and left seven men on base during a 2-1 road loss.  

Twenty-four year old righty Hunter Greene (0-2 4.55 ERA) will head to the hill for the Reds in this contest. Cincinnati has lost Greene’s first five starts and he has struck out 36 batters across 27 plus frames. 

The Texas Rangers have split their first 14 home games and are tied with Seattle atop the AL West Division standings. On Friday, Texas SP Nathan Eovaldi struck out eight batters in six innings and did not factor in the decision. 2B Marcus Semien and OF Evan Carter each went deep to provide the offense for the Rangers, who improved to 14-13 overall 

Texas manager Bruce Bochy will give the nod to thirty-two year old righty Michael Lorenzen (2-0 2.45 ERA) on Saturday. Last time out, Lorenzen (6 IP) allowed three runs and struck out seven batters during a 6-4 road victory against Atlanta.
