The Pittsburgh Pirates are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and are trapped in the NL Central Division cellar. During Monday’s home loss, Ke’Bryan Hayes and Andrew McCutchen went a combined 0-for-8 with four strikeouts. SP Mitch Keller (1-6) gave up one earned run in six innings and took the loss for the Pirates (15-33), who fell to 9-14 at home. 

The Pirates will counter with twenty-eight year old southpaw Bailey Falter (2-3 4.02 ERA) on Tuesday. Pittsburgh has won Bailey’s last two starts and he has held the opposition scoreless over his last nine plus frames.
