Chicago swept Tampa Bay over the weekend and are showing signs of improvement. The Chicago White Sox are off to a horrendous start at the plate, ranking last in the majors in OPS and last in runs scored. The White Sox are missing some of their top sluggers, including Yoan Moncada (adductor) and Luis Robert (hip). However, Chicago has scored 29 runs over their last eight games and will face Minnesota SP Bailey Ober (4.21 ERA) on Wednesday.

There has been little to be excited about for the Chicago White Sox this season, but OF Gavin Sheets has been a bright spot. Sheets leads the White Sox with a .276 batting average and has driven in 11 runs. Sheets had two hits out of the cleanup spot last night and has five hits in 16 career at-bats against Bailey Ober.

Andrew Vaughn

Andrew Vaughn has seen his home run total increase in each of the last three seasons. In 2023, Vaughn homered 21 times and drove in 80 runs. Vaughn is off to a slow start at the plate with a .190 batting average and is looking for his first long ball. In 14 career at-bats against Ober, Vaughn has gone deep twice.
