White Sox vs Twins Prediction

The Thursday MLB schedule will get underway with a matinee between the Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins from Target Field. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. The White Sox (5-19) have dropped 11 of their first 12 road games and own the worst overall record in the American League. Last night, Chicago batters went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base during a 6-3 road loss against Minnesota.

Twenty-five year old righty Shane Smith (0-1 2.82 ERA) will make his fifth start of the year for the White Sox. Through 22 plus innings, Smith has struck out 15 batters and owns a sparkling 0.94 WHIP.

The Minnesota Twins are a game above .500 at home and are sitting in fourth place in the AL Central Division standings. On Wednesday, Minnesota OF Trevor Lamach broke a sixth inning tie with a solo shot and OF Byron Buxton sealed the victory with a two-run blast. DH Edouard Julien went 2-for-4 and scored a run out of the leadoff spot for the Twins, who improved to 9-15 overall.

Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli will turn to struggling right-hander Chris Paddack (0-2 7.27 ERA) in the series finale. Control has been an issue for Paddack, who has allowed nine walks and four long balls across 17 plus frames.
