Cubs vs Twins Picks and Prediction – 7/10/2025

In Thursday afternoon MLB interleague action, the Chicago Cubs and the Minnesota Twins will wrap up their series from Target Field. Be ready for the baseball season with all of our MLB predictions. Thirty-five year old righty Colin Rea (6-3 4.13 ERA) will take the mound for the Cubs in this matchup. In his last start, Rea (6.2 IP) allowed two hits and one run during an 11-3 home victory versus St. Louis.

The Minnesota Twins have won 26 of their first 44 home games and are trying to hang around in the AL Wild Card conversation. During Wednesday’s home victory, Minnesota jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opening frame on a Ryan Jeffers RBI single and a Carlos Correa run-scoring double. SP David Festa (3-3) allowed two runs in five plus innings to earn the win for the Twins, who improved to 45-47 overall.  

Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli will give the nod to right-hander Chris Paddack (3-7 4.64 ERA) on Thursday. Last time out, Paddack (5 IP) gave up two runs and struck out five batters during a 4-3 home victory versus Tampa Bay. 

Chicago SP Javier Asaad (oblique) is currently on the 60-day injured list and is not expected to return until next month. Through 92 games, Chicago ranks 3rd in OPS and 2nd in runs scored.
