On Monday, Miami walked it off in the ninth inning on a Jesus Sanchez two-run double that scored Derek Hill and Javier Sanoja. Sanchez and Agustin Ramirez hit back-to-back home runs to start the scoring for the Marlins, who improved to 19-27 overall. 

Twenty-five year old southpaw Ryan Weathers (1-0 1.80 ERA) looked good for the Marlins in his return from a forearm strain. In his season debut, Weathers (5 IP) allowed two hits and fanned five batters during a 3-1 road victory against Chicago. 

Miami SS Xavier Edwards has landed on the 10-day injured list with a left mid-back strain. Through 48 games, Chicago ranks 4th in OPS and 2nd in runs scored.
