Cubs vs Tigers Picks and Prediction – 6/7/2025

During Friday’s home victory, Detroit 1B Spencer Torkelson broke a 1-1 sixth inning tie with a solo shot. AL Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal (6-2) scattered eight hits across seven plus frames to earn the win for the Tigers, who improved to 42-23 overall.

Detroit skipper A.J. Hinch will turn to twenty-four year old righty Keider Montero (2-1 4.02 ERA) on Saturday. Montero has a nine plus inning scoring streak going and the Tigers have won his last two starts.

Chicago SP Shota Imanaga (hamstring) threw live batting practice on Wednesday and hopes to return later this month. Through 63 games, Chicago ranks 4th in OPS and 2nd in runs scored.
