Red Sox vs Tigers Picks and Prediction – 5/13/2025

Twenty-five year old righty Brayan Bello (2-0 2.01 ERA) has come out of the gates firing this season. The Red Sox have won Bello’s first four starts and he has allowed just one run over his last ten plus innings.

The Detroit Tigers have won seven of their previous ten games and hold a 2.5 game lead for the top spot in the AL Central Division. During Monday’s home victory, 2B Gleyber Torres went 3-for-3 with a home run and drove in three runs to power the Detroit offense. SS Trey Sweeney also went deep and plated three runs for the Tigers (27-15), who improved to 15-5 at home.  

Detroit skipper A.J. Hinch will turn to twenty-four year old righty Keider Montero (1-1 4.15 ERA) on Tuesday. In his last start, Montero needed just 92 pitches to last eight innings during an 11-1 road victory against Colorado. 

Detroit SP Casey Mize has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a left hamstring strain. Through 43 games, Boston ranks 6th in OPS and 6th in runs scored.
