Red Sox vs Guardians Picks and Prediction – 4/27/2025

Twenty-five year old righty Brayan Bello (1-0 1.80 ERA) will make his second start of the year for the Red Sox. In his season debut, Bello (5 IP) allowed one run and fanned three batters during an 8-3 home victory versus Seattle. 

The Cleveland Guardians have won eight of their first 11 home games and are a game out of first place in the AL Central Division. In the opening game of Saturday’s doubleheader, four relievers combined to pitch four shutout innings as Cleveland closed the door on a 5-4 home victory. All-Star 3B Jose Ramirez went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for the Guardians (15-11).  

Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt will give the nod to twenty-six year old righty Logan Allen (1-1 2.11 ERA) on Sunday. The Guardians have won Allen’s previous three starts and he has allowed just one earned run over his last 16 innings. 

Boston SP Lucas Giolito (hamstring) is scheduled to make his season debut on Wednesday against Toronto. Through 29 games, Boston ranks 9th in OPS and 7th in runs scored.
