The Orioles have shown signs of improvement, winning four of their last five games. Their offense has seen a welcome upstart performance by Cedric Mullins. Mullins, an outfielder, has put up 10 home runs and 31 RBIs this season. This has been the bulk of the power ina struggling offense. On the mound, right-hander Dean Kremer (5–5, 4.70 ERA) is expected to start. Kremer has been solid in his recent outings, including a win against the Chicago White Sox on May 31, where he allowed just one earned run over six innings. 

The Athletics are looking to snap a five-game losing streak. Outfielder Brent Rooker leads the team with 13 home runs and 33 RBIs, with a .264 batting average. Left-handerJP Sears, is expected to take the mound. Sears has been solid through his career, but has not had it going this season, with a 4-5 record and 5.05 ERA.
