Braves vs Giants Picks and Prediction – 6/7/2025

The Atlanta Braves (27–33) begin a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants (34–28) on Friday night at Oracle Park. First pitch is scheduled for 10:15 PM ET, with coverage on MLB Network. The Braves have struggled recently, losing 7 of their last 10 games. Despite the slump, they have key contributors like Marcell Ozuna, who leads the team with a .274 batting average, and Matt Olson, who has hit 12 home runs this season. On the mound, right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach (4–4, 3.13 ERA) is set to start. In his last outing, Schwellenbach pitched 6.1 scoreless innings against the Boston Red Sox, striking out 11 batters and earning the win. 

The Giants have been solid at home, with an 18–11 record at Oracle Park. They are led offensively by Heliot Ramos, who boasts a .292 batting average, and Wilmer Flores, who has driven in 47 runs this season. Rookie right-hander Hayden Birdsong (3–1, 2.37 ERA) will take the mound for San Francisco. Birdsong has been impressive, allowing just one earned run over his last two starts, spanning 10.1 innings. 

Both teams are looking to establish consistency, and because of that, we have looked to fade either side much of the year. In this matchup, we are confident in the strong arm of Schwellenbach against the inexperienced Birdsong. We will be looking to back the Braves on the road for a win 4-2.
