Diamondbacks vs White Sox Picks and Prediction – 6/25/2025

The Wednesday MLB schedule will get underway with a matinee between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago White Sox from Guaranteed Rate Field. The Chicago White Sox have dropped nine of their previous 11 games and own the worst overall record in the American League. During Tuesday’s home loss, OF Luis Robert’s second inning solo shot was the only offense Chicago could muster. Mike Vasil (3-3) gave up two runs (1 ER across five plus frames and took the loss for the White Sox (25-55), who fell to 16-23 at home.  

The White Sox will counter with twenty-five year old righty Sean Burke (3-7 4.50 ERA) in the series finale. Last time out, Burke (5.1 IP) allowed two runs (1 ER) and fanned seven batters during a 5-4 home loss versus St. Louis. 

Arizona OF Corbin Carroll has landed on the 10-day injured list with a left wrist fracture and there is no clear timetable for this return. Through 79 games, Arizona ranks 3rd in OPS and 3rd in runs scored. For the season, Chicago ranks 30th in OPS and 28th in runs scored. Take the White Sox to win at home.
