The Seattle Sea Dragons take a road trip this week to Saint Louis for a game against the Saint Louis Battlehawks. Seattle comes into this week 5-3 overall following a nine point win against Arlington a week ago. Defensively Seattle was the better team allowing just 15 points on 339 total yards enforced one interception to secure the win. Offensively Seattle shined as well compiling 371 yards of offense to score 24 total points including 21 in the first half to pull away for the win.
Quarterback Ben DiNucci led the way for the Seattle offense completing 21 passes for 266 yards and one score in the game, while running the ball nine times for 52 yards as well. TJ Hammonds chipped in 45 yards on 7 carries and Jordan Veasy led the way for the Seattle passing attack with 79 yards on three receptions. Josh Gordon chipped in three catches for 43 yards and one score as well.
The Saint Louis Battlehawks return home this week 6-2 on the year following a nine point victory against Houston a week ago. Defensively St. Louis shined allowing just 228 yards and 15 points after allowing only six second-half points against Houston. Offensively St. Louis was the better team compiling 281 yards and converted 61.5% of their third downs to score 24 points following a 17 point first half.
Quarterback AJ McCarron completed 26 passes for 222 yards and three scores in the game. Brian Hill led all ball carriers first Saint Louis with 53 yards on 11 carries and added 28 yards on three receptions as well. Darrius Shepherd led the way for the Saint Louis receivers with 70 yards and one score on 7 grabs, while Hakeem Butler chipped in 27 yards and one score on four catches.
This is a matchup between the #2 and #3 teams in the XFL North but St. Louis will have the edge. The Battlehawks are the slightly better team record wise but the home fans will play a huge part in this game.
